Come enjoy a fun-filled afternoon for all ages as this summer's Organ Concert and Silent Movie Series begins with the Student Prince.

James Harp, renowned organist & Artist in Residence, will provide a fabulously atmospheric accompaniment on the Magnani Wurlitzer Pipe Organ in the Mansion's beautifully restored Ballroom.

The Student Prince, also known as The Student Prince & Old Heidelberg, is a 1927 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer silent film based on the 1901 play Old Heidelberg by Wilhelm Meyer-Förster. Ernst Lubitsch directed the picture

The love scene in the beer garden, which is acclaimed as one of the best scenes in the film by modern critics, was allegedly a headache for the director, who had it reshot entirely, but was still unhappy with it. It was rumored that the love scene in the film was reshot by John M. Stahl, but Lubitsch's assistant on the film, Andrew Marton, denied this. For more information on the film, click here.
